Caribbean yacht traffic can only grow and grow

Article Abstract:

The boatbuilding and repair industry ought to explore the Caribbean region. Yachting businesses will soon be able to exploit their opportunities in this market because boat traffic to the Caribbean is expected to increase due to a number of factors. These include the imminent end of the US embargo against Cuba, ever-increasing numbers of airline flights to the Caribbean, an increasing number of new marinas being built in the market and the increasing trend toward professionalism in the Caribbean boating business.

Repair, refit trade show debuts in April

Article Abstract:

A seminar-driven, high-end-focused trade show focusing on the repair and refitting of boats will make its debut in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in Apr 2000 under the sponsorship of the periodical Professional Boatbuilder. The publisher of the magazine noted that the initial reaction to the forthcoming new trade show, which will be called the International Marine Repair and Refit Exhibition and Conference, has been quite positive. The new show will feature as many as 30 seminars covered a wide variety of topics.
