CatalogCity offers insurance against downtime

Article Abstract:

CatalogCity.com will roll out a new service that allows catalog merchandisers to redirect online traffic to CatalogCity when their Web sites have problems. The service enables mail-order companies to continue taking orders even if there are extended outages on their Web sites. The company is offering the new service, called Web Insurance, for free but will charge a percentage of sales made on its Web site. CatalogCity will unveil Web Insurance at Direct Marketing Assn's 18th Annual Catalog Conference.

BookSpan eyes BlackPlanet audience

Article Abstract:

BookSpan has formed a partnership with BlackPlanet.com that will allow the former to market to BlackPlanet's online community of more than two million black members. BookSpan will promote its African-American book club, Black Expressions, to BlackPlanet members and build its own membership. BlackPlanet will feature banner ads for Black Expressions on its home page and in several of its sections. BookSpan can also send e- mail messages to BlackPlanet members twice each month.

Innuity lifts radio revenues via Web

Article Abstract:

Innuity Media Services Division has formed a partnership with Entercom Communications, which will require Innuity to create 17 Web sites for Entercom's radio stations in six markets. Innuity will also host the radio stations and create a standard platform for national advertisers. The company will also create an intranet for the radio stations, which will enable them to control of their Web sites, monitor statistics and communicate with each other.
