Article Abstract:
There are many reasons why the UK cladding industry is in a state of decline, according to a report undertaken by the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology for the government's Construction Procurement Group. Main contractors fail to manage installation properly, for example, and clients are often too ambitious. However, there are indications that the cladding industry is trying to improve its image. Some subcontractors are rejecting high-risk work, for example, and some design-and-build concerns are paying better rates to cladding contractors.

Article Abstract:
Hewlett Packard's new facility for the development, design and manufacture of its large format printing machines is located in Barcelona, and was designed by architect Reid Fenwick Asociados. Its existing building was reorganised into offices and support areas. The new building incorporates loading docks, shipping and recieving areas, with production located in the main central area. Office space overlooks landscaped areas.
