CoolSavings has hot E-mail pitch

Article Abstract:

Chicago, IL-based CoolSavings.com is using a highly attractive, direct electronic mail advertising campaign to promote its first, branded credit card, the CoolSavings Platinum Visa card, to 3 million of its 4.5 million members. Two electronic mail messages are being sent to prospects in the campaign. The first is a bimonthly, personalized newsletter that promotes new offers available on the site and is sent to members who opted to receive targeted electronic mail offers from the firm. The second promotes the credit card itself.

Video e-mailer touts Motorola pager

Chicago, IL-based communications equipment provider Motorola ended an advance promotional campaign for its latest two-way pager called the Personal Interactive Communicator T900 during the week of Aug 21, 2000. The company plans to subsequently run an interactive marketing campaign for the product that will consist of seven video electronic messages targeting 20- to 24-year-old, non-gender-specific consumers in North America.

ntl to invest $1B into Northern Ireland

Article Abstract:

ntl, a New York-based international communications group, will open a customer call center in Northern Ireland as part of a $1 billion commitment in the region. The center will handle outbound and inbound calls from the company's over 5 million business and residential customers in the UK and Ireland. The center, scheduled to open in 2000, is expected to have 850 agents.
