Deutsche Post-AEI merger challenges global dominance

Article Abstract:

German shipper Deutsche Post has announced a $1.14 billion merger with Air Express International Corp to establish the global market's biggest air freight shipment coordinator. The acquisition agreement gives the German firm a larger share in the US shipping market and makes it a major competitor of Federal Express Co and United Parcel Service. The acquisition is one of several Deutsche Post has made involving logistics and distribution companies in the past year and a half.
