Deutsche acquires $100M portfolio

Deutsche Financial Services' acquisition of a $100 million yacht floorplan portfolio positions it as the yacht market's top provider of inventory finance programs and services. The company would not give the name of the company from whom they bought the portfolio but a source said that it was the marine wholesale program offered by John Deere Credit. Deutsche declares that the purchase is representative of its continued investment and overall commitment to the marine industry.

Two financical services groups merge to form new company

Article Abstract:

Chrysler Capital Company LLC is merging with debis Financial Services to form DaimlerChrysler Capital Services that will focus on nonautomotive leasing and financing services. The new company will be based at debis' headquarters in Norwalk, CT, and headed by Chrysler Capital Pres and CEO William S Bishop. Chrysler Capital and debis had combined revenues of $370 million in 1998.
