Education of construction professionals

Article Abstract:

A UK Construction Industry Board working party has recommended changes in the educational framework of the industry. This is in order to achieve the teamwork and awareness of other professionals' roles called for in a recent review of the industry. It recommends the establishment of a basic common core knowledge of these areas and suggests that this will be best achieved through establishing a set of learning outcomes towards which each professional body and educational establishment can work in its own way. The elements for inclusion at the different levels are given.
