Several multi-million pound sterling building projects are planned for London by the year 2010, completely changing the face of the City. The driving force behind many projects is the need for improved transportation links, resulting in the concentration of new developments and the creation of new London districts. One of the biggest projects is the 2.5 billion pounds sterling redevelopment of King's Cross.

HBG drops Higgs & Hill name

Article Abstract:

A process of consolidation at Dutch construction contractor HBG is likely to lead to UK building units HBG Higgs & Hill, HBG GA and HBG Kyle Stewart all adopting the name HBG Construction from Jan 1, 1999. This development will only have significant repercussions in the south-east of the UK, where both HBG Higgs & Hill and HBG Kyle Stewart operate. Here, a united office will be managed by Martin Rogers of HBG Kyle Stewart and Phillip Tunstall and Graham Cash of HBG Higgs & Hill.
