Hunt Thompson Associates carried out the architectural work for Gloucester House nursing home in Sevenoaks, UK, which is made up of four 'villages' of bedsitting rooms for residents. There are three ground floor reception rooms for use by all residents, and the communal areas offer excellent quality and variety. Construction costs for most elements were higher than average, with a high number of sanitary installations, for example, increasing the costs of water and disposal equipment. Information on issues such as energy design and contracts is also given.
