Downland Housing Group

Article Abstract:

The successful merger between the Downland Housing Society and the Mid Sussex Housing Association has made the new housing group one of the top twenty housing associations in the United Kingdom. Bob Herbert, the Managing Director of Dowland Housing Group is concerned where future funding will come from as the company reaches its peak debt in 1998, and the government reduces the housing subsidy. The company hopes to build 800 new houses and has started a 20 million pound sterling project to renovate housing stock purchased from the Mid Sussex council.
