Government must stand up to Brussels bureaucrats

Article Abstract:

The immense amount of European rules and regulations which UK companies have to accept is expensive and is ruining many businesses. Regulations include food hygiene, slaughterhouse standards, health and safety, bonding of travel agencies, transfer of undertakings and employment law which is employee biased. Other European countries have not accepted many of the regulations which the UK has. The UK government needs to simplify domestic tax law and other domestic and European legislation to sustain the success of UK businesses.
