R.R. Donnelley buys CTC Distribution Direct

Article Abstract:

CTC Distribution Direct, a Minneapolis, MN-based mailer of business-to- home parcels, is being acquired by R.R. Donnelley Logistics Services, a Downers Grove, IL-based unit of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. The acquisition will create a combined entity with total gross sales of $800 million. Donnelly has 15% of the commercial mail market, while CTC Distribution handles over 40% of the US Postal Service's parcel volume.

Database marketing and eCRM solutions provider KnowledgeBase Marketing Inc has acquired Leopard Inc, a integrator of Web-based marketing automation tools and technologies. Executives of the Dallas, Texas-based company believe that the Leopard acquisition will increase KnowledgeBase's database capacitance. In addition, it will widen its product offerings to customers to include both client-server and mainframe-based Internet technologies.

Grey Direct acquisition moves agency toward one-stop global DM shop

Article Abstract:

Grey Direct Marketing Group Inc has moved closer to being a truly global direct marketing services provider with its purchase of MarketData Solutions of Chicago, IL. The new company, which will keep the name MarketData Solutions, will be an autonomous division of Grey Direct. It will also have global annual billings of $25 million and offices in five countries.
