HAP standards aren't great, but best to date

Article Abstract:

Boating industry officials say the EPA's proposed standards for hazardous air pollutants are fair even if there are still major issues to be addressed. For instance, John McKnight, the NMMA's director of environmental and safety compliance, said that after accepting the inevitable and considering other alternatives, the proposed rules are fair. The EPA's proposed National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants establishes material and process technology standards for fiberglass and aluminum boat manufacturing operations.
