Out but not down

Article Abstract:

Ellis Construction former Chairman and Chief Executive Mike Ellis is dismayed that his company went into liquidation in Mar 1996 despite having orders of around 20 million pounds sterling and not having any debts. He was unable to arrange an overdraft to cover the cost of several projects planned for early 1996. Ellis admits that he was negligent in realising the need for additional funds to pay for work in progress during the winter of 1995. He has since found work as a consultant for other construction companies.
