ICraveTV continues to defy NFL with football feeds

Article Abstract:

Fledgling Canadian sports broadcasting firm iCraveTV has incurred the wrath of US and Canadian sports enterprises for picking their television broadcast signals and re-broadcasting them by means of the Internet. The firm's broadcasting activities, which have been characterized as theft by its adversaries, is based on a decision released by the Canadian Radio- Television and Telecommunications Commission not to regulate broadcating done on the Internet.

Service lowers cost of oversized mailings

Article Abstract:

Direct marketing firm ICOM Information and Communications of Toronto, Canada, has launched a targeted product sampling program using Canada Post's new Oversize Plus addressed admail service. The new service offers discount postage rates for packages between 20 mm and 35 mm in thickness and with a maximum weight of 500 gms. ICOM's targeted mail campaign for Nestle Canada's Friskies pet foods was the first to use the Oversize Plus for such purpose.

Omnicom acquires Web marketing service

Omnicom Group Inc has purchased a 50% equity interest in Calgary, Alberta- based Critical Mass. Under the deal, online marketing services firm Critical Mass will be consolidated into Rapp Digital, Omnicom' snewly- established electronic customer-relationship management subsidiary. The acquisition is part of Omnicom's anticipation of Internet protocol playing a huge role in the future of customer relationship management.
