Initiative Media launches direct response division

Article Abstract:

Initiative Media North America has launched its direct response media unit, IMmediate IMpact (IM2). The new company is the new holding entity for company-owned shops IM Direct and Media Direct Partners Inc. IM2 will use its influence in media buying to wrest better deals for clients. It will account for 35% of all direct response TV buying in the US, making it the leader in its category. It will start with billings of $400 million from clients such as Glaxo Wellcome, ell Computer Corp, Bellsouth, Billy's Health Clubs, Roche and the US Navy.

MediaVenture launches to offer newspaper DM

The startup is dedicated to helping newspapers increase per-copy sales by bolstering their relationships with subscribers.
