Saginaw, MI-based Duro-Last Roofing Chmn and founder John R. Burt has appointed Jack Burt as his successor to Duro-Last and its family of companies. The founder himself will continue as business advisor while leading R and D efforts for the business. Jack Burt will be responsible for managing the direction of the company and its related enterprises. Duro-Last's related enterprises include Plastatech Engineering Ltd, Tri- City Vinyl Inc, Energy Solutions Insulation Inc, Oscoda Plastics Inc and TIP-TOP Screw Mfg Inc.

Brown named COO for Owens Corning

Owens Corning has appointed David T Brown as the company's COO, responsible for all of the company's operating businesses in the US and around the world. Brown will directly to CEO Glen Hiner, and will remain as acting president of the Insulating Systems Business until a successor has been named. Hiner said Brown's main objective is to ensure the company is focused on profitable global growth. Brown replaces Domenico Cecere, who has resigned from Owens Corning to pursue other interests.

Construction fasteners appoints Martini VP

Construction Fasteners Inc (CFI), based in Wyomissing, PA, named Gary P Martini as its new vice-president for sales and marketing. Martini will oversee all sales and marketing activities through CFI's independent product groups for WEATHER GARD metal building fasteners and DEKFAST roof insulation and membrane fastening system. Prior to joining CFI, Martini spent 12 years in the steel industry, including a stint as National Director for Milwaukee, WI-based Russel Metals.
