Article Abstract:

Projection plastering is not common in Britain although it is widely used in the rest of Europe. Europlaster aims to convince British builders of the advantages of sprayed plastering by franchising its systems to trained contractors. The Europlaster 2000 uses a silo to store the plaster while Europlaster 100 requires hand loading of the mixing machine. The company claims better quality is achieved and that costs and time can be reduced. However, the system is unlikely to be economical for plastering areas under 2000 sq meters.

Article Abstract:

Churchward House was built in 1840 as part of the Great Western Railway development of Swindon, England. The building is now the offices of Tarmac Swindon and has been rennovated and converted into an impressive headquarters building. The architect, Hubbard Ford Partnership, has used an austere, futuristic style for the ground floor reception and meeting rooms. There are allusions to the Victorian age of precision engineering but no direct reference to railways.
