Long rash of boat arsons in Michigan may be over

Article Abstract:

The arrest of Richard John Sarvis of Clinton Township, MI, has given marina owners some hope that a yearlong string of boatyard fires may be over. The unemployed truck driver has been accused of setting two powerboats on fire and attempting to burn another. Since his arrest on Oct 21, 1999, there has been no reports of suspicious boat fires. Michigan authorities are still determining if Sarvis is liable for the other boatyard fires.
