Failing the driving test

Article Abstract:

The UK government is likely to bring in regulations forcing the construction industry to be more accountable in 1998, by way of producing prove of profitability, standards and training programmes. The new measures may be called for after the publication of the Egan taskforce report into industry practice. Industry officials are concerned the report may lead to legislation which is client-driven and ultimately bad for the industry as a whole. Much of construction work can be hard to quantify and assess.
