MarineMax adds big-boat service

Article Abstract:

MarineMax, the largest recreational boat retailer in the US, has acquired Associated Marine Technologies in Jan 2001. MarineMax paid cash for the full-service yacht repair facility based outside Fort Lauderdale, FL. The purchase has enabled MarineMax to service yachts up to 110 ft. MarineMax sells recreational boats through 52 retail locations nationwide. The purchase has made MarineMax a full-service yacht dealer.

Correct Craft dealers are part of round table

Article Abstract:

Representatives of six Correct Craft dealerships have joined with senior management to form a panel that will meet three times a year to evaluate policy and product issues. The Orlando, FL-based manufacturer declared that the creation of the round table formalizes a long-standing policy of seeking dealer input. The Correct Craft Round Table met in Dec 2000, and is scheduled to get together again in Apr 2001.

Rep company creates a Midwest division

Article Abstract:

Ocean Marketing Inc, a Guilford, CT-based manufacturer's rep company, has formed a division called Lakeshore Marketing Associates. The unit was formed to develop boat accessory sales generated by distributors, dealers and specialty retailers operating in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Warren Black has been appointed to head Lakeshore Marketing Associates.
