Saul Garelick dies; founded Garelick Mfg

Article Abstract:

Saul Garelick, chairman of the board of the Garelick Manufacturing Co, died on Jan 27, 2001, at the age of 82. Garelick, together with his brothers, established the company in the early 1950s, after developing a new aluminum marine boarding ladder. The device, which had twin gunwale hooks made it easier and safer to climb aboard a boat. Garelick also manufactures boat seats, pedestal hardware, deck chairs and tables, boat hooks and outboard accessories.

Patrick Wampler has been appointed public relations director of World Sports & Marketing, producer of the US Pro Water Ski Tour and the Pro Wakeboard Tour. Wampler is a former reporter for the Orlando Sentinel and has covered the Pro Water Ski Tour as part of his responsibilities at the newspaper. World Sports & Marketing is the sports marketing division of World Publications, publisher of 14 magazines including Wake Boarding and WaterSki.
