Netscape drives traffic to portal site

Article Abstract:

Netscape Communications of Mountainview, CA, is slated to roll out a $10 million marketing campaign in July 1998 in an aim to boost membership and promote its redesigned portal site. The multi-million campaign will be supported by entertainment companies, including Warner Bros. Online, Paramount Digital Entertainment, Hollywood Online and Sony. Advertising will come in the form of banner ads, pop-up ads and direct links from the partners' sites. The recently launched Netscape Necenter portal site contains 17 content channels and new services. The company is hoping to get 500,000 new members through the compaign.

BulletIN provide SOHO wireless access

Atlanta, GA-based BulletIN.net has launched BulletIN Personal, a slution designed for the small-office/home-office worker. The product is a PC- based software solution providing users with the ability to receive e-mail on a wireless device. The system has numerous custom scheduling, filtering and forwarding options. It also enables users to decide which e-mail messages they receive while mobile and when they will receive them.
