New database puts PTC seminar mailings ahead of the class

Article Abstract:

Waltham, MA-based Parametric Technology Corp has adopted a new database marketing system that promoted some of its executive conferences which are used to market its technology. The novel system garnered a 5% response rate on a direct marketing campaign. It is expected to increase sales by $15 million to $30 million in 2001. The system was based on the marketing automation tool Aprimo Marketing that allows customers to plan, implement and analyze marketing programs as well as collaborate with agencies and suppliers.

PC Postage lets businesses put their stamp on mailings

Endicia.com, Stamps.com and Zazzle.com signed contracts with United States Postal Service to launch customized postage stamps. The contracts allow businesses to use such postage stamps for advertising.
