People moving a new home or new business typically need a number of customer-oriented offerings for various services. Technology advances in communications and information delivery have stirred up frenetic competition to peak levels. Data suppliers ranging from data marketers to directory assistance firms, who have gathered their data from different sources. Timeliness and accuracy of data is important, and the best data is that derived directly from phone companies, then cleaned up to produce only new movers or new businesses.

Article Abstract:

Some direct marketers tend to isolate the top 10 customers offering them the best. Similarly, the last 10 customers are selected for the worst services leaving the band of 80% in between being treated indifferently. The other set of direct marketers offer better quality stuff to the customers at the lower end to improve upon the customer sets. However, it would be more beneficial to identify the customers based on their previous purchases and market those products to them.
