A study explains why the claims that Enforma has made for its product are are exactly what consumers would want to hear. Enforma has concluded a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission on false and unsubstantiated claims for the weight-loss system. The firm's attraction for its products is the claim that its Fat Trapper and Exercise in a Bottle products help bodies to burn more calories without doing anything.

Tyee Euro RSCH has unveiled the long-form informercial and point-of- purchase marketing strategy it conceptualized for Callaway Golf at the Electronic Retailing Assn's 2000 Conference and Exhibition. The promotion involves the use of informercials and in-store displays to promote Callaway Golf's Rule 35 golf balls. It is targeted at golfers who play nine to 24 rounds a year.
