Article Abstract:

Accommodation management group Morgan Lovell has converted buildings in Wokingham, England, into cordless offices to demonstrate the cost effectiveness of cordless technology. It has replaced most company telephones with cordless ones that use radio communications. Most of its personal computers have been replaced with laptop computers that use cordless local area and wide area networks for interoffice communication. Office moves become less expensive and time consuming if cable installations are not required.

Offices of the future

Article Abstract:

The growing popularity of flexible working, changing work patterns and the increasing use of information technology means that modern businesses demand low energy, high-tech office layouts that will accomodate a variety of uses. To this end, it is necessary to consider design priorities, clients' needs and current building costs before an efficient cost model can be developed.
