Outram in Battersea 'Las Vegas' row

Article Abstract:

Parkview International, owner of Battersea Power Station in London, England, has seen architect John Outram abandon a commission to draw up an overall plan for a 500 million pounds sterling redevelopment of the building. Outram believes that Parkview wants Battersea Power Station to resemble Las Vegas, with strong emphasis being placed on features designed to attract visitors to the site. It is thought that he was particularly concerned that Parkview wished to recreate areas covering different nationalities.
