Parkyn's progress; Manchester

Article Abstract:

Manchester, England has many stylish modern buildings designed by local architects. The city has the atmosphere of a major European city and is self-confident about its international role. Examples of notable buuildings are; the British Council Headquarters, the Castlefield conservation area, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Royal Exchange Theatre. The street scape is marred by the infrastructure of the city's Metrolink tram system but the system itself is admirable.
