Quigley prepares infomercial for cold-eeze

Quigley Corp., the Doylestown, PA-based maker of cold remedy Cold-Eeze, bares plans to roll out a nationwide marketing campaign to promote its new sugar-free Cold-Eeze zinc lozenges in fall 1998. The campaign will include an infomercial featuring customer testimonials on the effectivity of the product. The infomercial will also offer consumers a lower-priced cold remedy as well as national promotional tie-ins, The company has begun shipping the new sugar-free cold tablets to retailers after receiving initial orders from national chains. The new tablets contain Quigley's patented zinc formulation, which has clinically been proven to reduce the duration and severity of common cold symptoms.
