RMH Teleservices hires new CEO

Article Abstract:

RMH Teleservices has appointed John Fellows as its new chief executive officer effective September 1998. The appointment, which follows the recent promotion of Bob Berwanger to the chief operating post, is part of the company's plan to further revamp and expand its senior management team. Fellows was the former president of Telequest Teleservices of Arlington, TX, where he managed ten call centers and helped enhance marketing of the firm's product offerings. RMH Teleservices sees Fellows addition as one that will enable the firm to optimize utilization of its capacity and improve margins.

Web presents telemarketing opportunity for radio stations

Article Abstract:

Radio Profits Corp of Newport News, VA, has reported it success in selling Web advertising over the phone. The company's in-station telemarketing program has been bringing around $1,000 to $1,500 a day in new advertising revenues since it was launched in early May 1999 by Capstar Broadcasting Group of Omaha, NE. Radio Profit charges a percentage of ad revenues generated by the radio and Web programs, and also charges a $500 retainer which it keeps if the program quits before Radio Profits' percentage fees reaches $500.
