Railtrack sidelines Jarvis

Article Abstract:

Railtrack, the largest construction client in the UK, is in dispute with contracting concern Jarvis about the latter's track maintenance contracts. Jarvis has been removed from Railtrack's civils tender lists, and its claims are to be investigated by claims consultant George Skinner and Associates. It is believed that the claims made by Jarvis were 600% higher than those made by other maintenance companies. Railtrack accounts for between 15 million pounds sterling and 20 million pounds sterling of the annual turnover of 150 million pounds sterling achieved by Jarvis Facilities.
