European and US retailers form world's largest BTB club

Article Abstract:

European and US retailers have established the world's biggest busines-to- business online marketplace called the WorldWide Retail Exchange. Among the European retailers are UK's Kingfisher, Marks & Spencer, France's Casino and Auchan chains while their US counterparts are Target, Kmart and Safeway. The exchange has a initial capital of $100 million and will be run like a cooperative. It aims to get the best prices for its members from over 100,000 suppliers, distributors and partners who are expected to participate.
