SPF is sustainable

Article Abstract:

Spray polyurethane foam is able to meet the requirements of sustainable roof systems. Spray foam features a high-R value and can be coated with reflective coating. Its benefits include lower heating and cooling costs, a positive effect on urban air quality and long life. Acrylic, silicone or polyurethane can act as a 'sacrificial barrier' to protect the foam barrier. The coating can be reconditioned after 12 to 18 years by cleaning the surface and the application of a new layer.
