Beneateau doubling size of S.C. plant

Article Abstract:

Beneteau USA has announced its plans to nearly double the size of its facility in Marion, SC. The expansion is expected to solidify the company's position in a price-sensitive market niche by allowing for more economies of scale. It will add over 100,000 sq ft of space and will boost employment. It will also double production by 2005. The facility in Marion builds boats ranging from 31 to 46 ft. It employs around 200 workers.
