The new contract details of 6.1m diameter Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) project to reduce untreated stormwater and sewage flows into the city of Fall River are presented. The contract involves driving the tunnel from a site that is near to residential area, and refurbishment of a much used tunnel boring machine.

A joint venture of Obayashi and W.W. Clyde bid the contract of completing the impending multi million dollar Upper Diamond Fork water tunnel project in Utah. A factory re-built and modernized cutterhead Robbins TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) is leased to help in the tunnel construction.
