NCR, MatchLogic to launch joint effort

Article Abstract:

NCR Corp of Dayton, OH, and MatchLogic, the online advertising unit of Excite@Home, has entered an $8-million deal for joint product development and marketing. The deal, which will take effect in the 2nd qtr of 2000, will combine data warehousing vendor NCR's Teradata database with MatchLogic's e-mail click-stream and ad serving capability. The result will be the integration of self-reported customer data from e-mail and other information sources with customer response data.
