Article Abstract:

The two bedroomed houses built by Pye Homes at Warfield near Bracknell in England have sold well. Pye will be building a total of 80 units on a 12 hectare site and of the 60 sold in ten months from January 1996, 80% have been of this two-bedroomed type. In the cheaper model, selling at 72,950 pounds sterling, there is a single open-plan living area downstairs. The bedrooms are of a good size but the bathroom is only 39 square feet. There will also be a second phase of lower density four bedroomed properties costing up to 150,000 pounds sterling.

The initial development included 26 bungalows positioned on the edge of a golf course aimed mainly at retired couples, but these have also proved very popular with other types of purchasers. The company is offering a variety of incentives to encourage buyers which include cash refunds and 20% interest-free loans.
