South Florida summit tackles access issues

Article Abstract:

The issues discussed at annual summit of Marine Industry Association of South Florida that was held on December 8, 2005 are discussed. The industry has absorbed the losses due to hurricanes in 2005. In addition, the industry now has to take on higher insurance costs, and depleting waterfront access. Industry is also likely to confront tougher permit regime in the coming period. Solutions to these problems like tax deductions, and business cooperatives, are also presented.
