Privacy issues resonate at List Vision 2000

Article Abstract:

Privacy issues relating to the Internet and electronic mail marketing were the focus of the proceedings of the Direct Mktg Assn's annual List Vision 2000 conference in New York, NY, in Aug 2000. One speaker noted that privacy parameters placed on electronic mail marketing are constantly changing, thereby requiring marketers to pay close attention or suffer the consequences. Another speaker urged participants to make available clear- cut privacy policies and descriptions of their companies in the event that their privacy practices are questioned.
