Suzuki restructures marketing efforts

American Suzuki Motor Corp marine marketing director Cam Smith Arnold has been appointed to the company's new position of director of corporate affairs and communications. He will be in charge of all internal and external communications for the company's marine, motorcycle/all terrain vehicle and automotive divisions as well as boosting Suzuki's brand image and marketing operation. The position vacated by Arnold will be filled up by Larry Vandiver, Suzuki's national field sales manager.

Buckley taps Mackey for top job at Mercury

Article Abstract:

Patrick C Mackey has been chosen to succeed George W Buckley as president of Mercury Marine Group. Prior to his appointment, Mackey was Exec VP of Witco Corp, and spent 30 years in Europe with DuPont. Buckley, who has been promoted as CEO and chairman of parent Brunswick Corp, said Mackey has successfully developed strategies that generated revenue growth and profits. For his part, Mackey stated that he intends to improve Mercury's market share by developing innovative products.

Ford Power Products has made two executive-level appointments. The company, which sells Ford engines and power-train components to the marine industry, has promoted Peter Knobloch from director of European operations to vice president, sales and marketing. He succeeds John Andreas who has been appointed vice president, global engineering. Another appointmenet was EW Muehlhausen who was named director, North American sales and marketing.
