The $600 million show - Miami is prepared

The annual boat show held at Miami is a huge affair amounting to approximately $600million. It is one of the biggest money-earning events for the city of Miami Beach, generating business not only for the convention center and marine industry, but also for almost everyone in the city in some way or the other. Hotels run full during that one-week and overall the show is always a huge success.

Product launches, deals marked the big Miami shows

The 61 Miami International Boat Show reported attendance levels of 147,372, that number is up 4 percent from the previous year. Additionally, sales of recreational boats were better than expected, especially within the entry-level boat market.

The Miami show: fewer people but strong sales

Exhibitors at the 62nd annual Miami International Boat Show have reported strong sales despite a less than normal attendance. Exhibitors say the quality of the buyers was an all-time high.
