The Bucks start here

Article Abstract:

United Healthcare, a joint venture of Taylor Woodrow and Healthcare Group, is set to become one of the first consortia to win a contract for a large hospital under the UK government's private finance initiative (PFI). It has already won Treasury backing for the construction of new wards at two hospitals in Buckinghamshire, and must now raise 35 million pounds sterling to fund the project. It will supply a fully maintained hospital which will be rented by South Buckinghamshire NHS Trust.

DBFO roads could stumle over funding

Article Abstract:

The inability of contractors to borrow sufficient funds could prove an obstacle to the government's plans to privately finance its roads programme. Contractors fear that they could reach their borrowing limits after only two or three large projects, making it impossible for them to bid for further work. So far, eight design-build-finance-operate road schemes have been put out to tender.
