The Pearson name makes a boatbuilding comeback

Article Abstract:

TPI Composites. Pearson Yachts Div stages a comeback in the boatbuilding market with the relaunch of the Pearson Yachts name by father and son team Everett and Mark Pearson. According to TPI's sales manager Jono Billings, the company decided to buy back the Pearson Yachts name in 1998 in order to have its own line of boats. The Pearson Yachts name dates back to 1957 when Everett Pearson formed the firm with his cousin Clinton Pearson. Billings said the division plans to build 10 or 15 boats per year.
