USPS study charts household mai activity

Article Abstract:

The 'Household Diary Study' published by the United States Postal Service is a collection of information on demographics, lifestyles, attitudes toward mail and advertising, bill payment behavior and the internet's effect on mail. The American households received 61.8 billion pieces of Standard Regular Mail and 12.4 billion pieces of Standard Nonprofit Mail in fiscal year 2003, according to the study.

USPS adds rules on nonprofit insurance, mailboxes

The United States Postal Service has published a final rule in the Federal Register on the rates for mail advertising for nonprofit insurance products. Another rule seeking the apartment and business buildings to provide larger mailboxes also published.

USPS: damage could surpass $100M

The United States Postal Service has reported that property damage caused by Hurricane Katrina may be more than 100 million dollars. Damage was mainly caused in the Gulf Coast region.
