Using common sense to lower premiums

Article Abstract:

Dealers can avoid high insurance premiums by maintaining well-kept and safe manufactured housing communities. One area that should always be kept in top condition is the community office because its condition reflects the image of the community. It should be clean, tastefully decorated and have all necessary safety features. Likewise, storage and work areas should also reflect the said characteristics. Inspectors should see that these areas ensure the safety of employees or visitors. Potholes and cracks in roadways and walks and worn-away railings should immediately be repaired to avoid injuries or accidents.

Save the family business by gifting for gain

Article Abstract:

Estate planning by prefabricated home business owners should include endowments to children as a good way to lessen inheritance tax rates and avail of tax incentives. For example, individual tax exemption on the first $600,000 of a gifted property is provided for by the Unified Tax Credit and marital deduction. A $10,000 annual tax-free gift is also possible in the form of cash gifts, tuition and medical care, custodial accounts and trust funds. The whole process of gifting must be guided by tax experts to ensure legalities and maximize possible gains.
