Article Abstract:

The Emily Isle II project in Port St. John, FL, received the Best American Living Award for Best Affordable First-Time-Buyer Home in the South Region for 1993. The house features a vaulted great room and architectural details which give the house a classy appearance and belie its $54,900 cost. The proximity between the eat-in kitchen, the great room and the patio provides a center for family activities. The master suite and two secondary bedrooms were situated at opposite ends of the house to ensure privacy for the adult residents.
