Williams signs deal with Daewoo

Article Abstract:

Williams Worldwide Television, a direct response marketing firm based in Santa Monica, CA, bares its agreement with Korea's Daewoo company, underwhich the latter is given exclusive direct response distribution rights to all WWT products in Korea. Daewoo, which has 1997 sales of $16.7 billion, will market WWT products through short and long form informercials, catalog, direct mail and print advertising. According to WWT, Daewoo also intends to centralize its business on WWT products. WWT sees the deal as one that will help it become the leading direct response marketer in Korea.

Nikon's first infomecial touts new photo system

Article Abstract:

Nikon Corp of Melville, NY, has launched its new infomercial for its two new advanced photop system, the Nuvis and Pronea S. The infomercial was designed to support its dealers because the first option that consumers get when they call the toll-free number is to locate their closest dealer. The second option offers callers to buy the cameras directly at $299 and $419 each for the Nuvis S and Proneas S, respectively. The infomercial was created by Hawthorne Direct Inc of Fairfield, IA.

WorldLink to represent Comcast on infomercial, direct response spots

Article Abstract:

WorldLink has inked an agreeement with Comcast SportsNet, a sports network in Philadelphia, PA, to be the exclusive representative for infomercial and direct response spot sales. SportsNet is the 21st regional sports network that have signed a similar contract with WorldLink. Other networks include Empire Sports Network, Madison Square Garden Network and 17 Fox Sports Network affiliates.
