The colour thermal printer market includes A3 and A4 machines, ranging in price from 280 pounds sterling to 12,000 pounds sterling. A good value low-end machine is the Seiko ColorPoint 820ps, priced at 6,200 pounds sterling. The machine's features include a 16MB memory, with an optional extra 256MB available. There are several standard interfaces, including Ethernet. Adobe PostScript Level 2 is standard. Other color thermal printers are evaluated.

A number of colour micro-dry printers are evaluated ranging in price from 254 pounds sterling to 595 pounds sterling. The alps MD-1000 machine is a good buy at 254 pounds sterling. It has micro-dry technology and 512 KB of standard random access memory (RAM). The Citizen Printiva 1700 costs 517 pounds sterling and includes 32 kb RAM.
