Don't lose the lead: cordless headphones are a great idea but does their sound quality match up to their convenience?

Article Abstract:

Cordless headphones have become popular although they do not have the same sound quality as corded headphones. Cordless headphones comprise the headphones themselves and a transmitter. The Vivanco Cyberwave FMH 3000 uses a low FM radio frequency, which means that the headphones do not need to be in the line of sight of the transmitter. Eight pairs of cordless headphones were tested, for sound quality and leakage, range, battery life and convenience. The best sound quality was found in the AKG K222-IR at 100 pounds sterling, and the Sony MDR-IF320RK II and Philips SBC HC380 were also best buys.

Game, seat and match

Article Abstract:

Event organisers often allocate tickets in advance and ticket agencies can charge a booking fee of up to 25% of the face value of tickets. Many event organisers prohibit the re-sale of tickets at more than their face value and they may deny entry to holders of these tickets. Tickets for international football matches are usually sold through football associations. Tickets for cricket Test Matches are decided by ballot but people can ring a credit card telephone line nearer the time for returned tickets. There are around 90,000 tickets available for the British Grand Prix.

Key decision: whether you're looking to rent or let, using a letting agent may seem like a good idea. However, we found that this can be an expensive option

Article Abstract:

It is not always necessary to use a letting agent to find a property to rent, but many properties are only let through agents. Agents can charge between 25-150 pounds sterling for general administration, taking up references, supplying an inventory and preparing a tenancy agreement. It is important to have written details concerning all charges before using an agent. Some agents ask as much as 200 pounds sterling for a holding deposit. Letting agents can charge extra for preparing a tenancy agreement.
